Cuba - March 30 - April 9, 2008

Patterson Park Church was once again given the opportunity to minister in Cuba for the third consecutive year.
The team served the Baptist Camp, painting the interior of a new building, outside Matanzas and preached and ministered to children in two near-by churches. After spending three days at the camp the team headed east to Remedios, a town on the northern coast in the middle of the island. A painting project was completed at the church during the day and they preached and worked with children in four area churches in the evenings.
The team also hosted a pastor’s meeting in Remedios attended by ten pastors. Each pastor was given a study Bible. The funds for these Bible were raised primarily by the fourth grade Sunday school class at Patterson Park.
Financially the team was able to give gifts to the pastors and churches served, the camp and its workers, the widows in the churches and a retired pastor who, at 87 years old, continues a ministry of visitation and evangelism.
The team wishes to thank you for your prayers, generous gifts and the privilege of representing you to our brothers and sisters in Cuba.
