Campus Crusade for Christ, Eastern Europe

Trent is the director of the Institute for Biblical and Theological Studies, the biblical training arm of Campus Crusade for Christ in Eastern Europe and Russia. The primary thrust of the teaching ministry of the IBTS is the program in biblical and doctrinal instruction that all staff in Eastern Europe are required to complete. As we proceed forward in the process of “indigenization,” it is imperative that every effort be made to provide a solid biblical foundation on which to build those ministries in the long run. In addition to this teaching program for staff, we are also involved in providing biblical and doctrinal training to lay volunteers in Romania, Ukraine, Moldova and Russia.

Kyle is serving under Greater Europe Mission (GEM), teaching, evangelizing, and planting churches in Espoo, Finland, the one Christian church in this city of 5 1/2 million. In addition to working with the Evangelical Free Church of Espoo, Kyle will also do some teaching at the International School of Bible and Mission in Finland.

Rudy and Laurie began serving in Africa in the late 80s and have been working in the western part since the late 90s. Both are currently involved in facilitating nationals and expatriates in the development of local languages through literacy and Bible translation. Rudy consults in the areas of orthography development, literacy materials, teacher training and the management of literacy programs. Laurie is more of a generalist; facilitating language teams with strategizing, review and documentation of their work.

Youth for Christ, Lebanon
John directs the work of Youth For Christ in Lebanon. The staff of 4 full-time staff, 2 part-time and 10 volunteers speak in high school assemblies, direct 4 after school clubs, 4 on campus discussion groups, whole day evangelistic events, summer camps, follow-up, counseling and leadership training.  In addition to directing the work and the staff, John is directly involved in speaking to high school students, training the leadership group, speaking to different youth groups when invited, while Nancy is his Personal Assistant in the office and also speaks to students in schools.

Ota coordinates and oversees the IN Network ministries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Switzerland,and Monaco. This includes training of nationals, assisting with strategic planning, monitoring projects, assisting with short-term teams, etc. Ota also has a teaching ministry by radio in the Czech language and speaks in churches and conferences by invitation. Without Renata, Ota's ministry would not be complete.

Steve was appointed to the ABWE CEEMed Leadership Training Team in Feb, 2003, and now travels extensively throughout the region teaching the Scriptures.  He is pursuing a Ph.D. in theology at Wales Evangelical School of Theology.
