Pastoral Staff
God has given David a passion for children and families to know the Lord and grow in their relationships with Jesus Christ. David graduated from Appalachian State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Relations. After owning and operating an Italian Restaurant for 13 years, David accepted a call into the ministry as Pastor to the Deaf at Glen Hope Baptist Church in Burlington, NC in 1997. In 1999 he became Glen Hope’s Children’s Pastor, a position he held for 7 years. David and his wife Janet are the parents of two sons, Nicholas and Charlie. David began serving at Patterson Park in January 2006.

David joined the PPC team beginning in June of 2005. David’s 19 years of ministry experience has allowed him to serve in Tennessee, Washington, D.C., North Carolina, Florida and now Ohio. David has earned his Associates degree in Christian Ministries and Bachelor of Science Degree in Christian Education. He recently received his Master of Religion Degree in Church Ministries from the Liberty Theological Seminary and is currently sharing the preaching responsibilities every other week with Joe Godwin. He also oversees the youth ministry, the young adult ministry, and small group ministry at PPC. His wife, Mary Beth has a passion for the deaf community. She is the Director of Deaf Ministries at PPC and one of the ASL Interpreters for worship services at PPC. David and Mary Beth have three children, Bethany, Luke, and Cassidy.

Joe’s primary responsibilities include preaching and teaching and the oversight of adult and discipleship ministries. Prior to joining the PPC staff in 2004, Joe served as a senior pastor for twenty years in churches in Ohio, North Carolina and Indiana. A graduate of Tennessee Temple University, he continued his studies at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Joe and his wife Kathy are the parents of two sons, Joseph and Kristofer.

 John’s primary responsibilities include music, worship and programming. Prior to joining the PPC staff in 1985, John served as a music educator in Iowa and Ohio. John is a graduate of Cedarville College (BME), Wright State University (MM) and Luther Rice Seminary (MA). John and his wife Lou Ann are the parents of adult children: a daughter (Emily) and a son (Jordan).

Dan’s primary responsibilities are to oversee the administrative functions of the church as well as the church’s counseling and recovery ministries. Prior to joining the PPC staff in 2000, Dan served a 22 year career in the U.S. Air Force. The Sietman’s joined PPC in 1989 while still serving on active military duty. Dan is a graduate of the State University of New York (BT) and the Air Force Institute of Technology (MS). He has done continuing education at Liberty University in counseling and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the National Association of Church Business Administrators. Dan and his wife Bernie are parents of two sons, both married: Dan and Rebecca in Wheaton, IL; and Tim and Ginger – and grandson Micaiah – preparing to work and study in China.

Josh arrived at Patterson Park in June of 2008 to serve as Pastor of Youth Ministries after serving for four years as a junior and senior high Bible teacher in Pennsylvania. Josh and his wife Christy were married in 2006. A 2004 graduate of Baptist Bible College Josh is currently pursuing a Masters degree from Baptist Bible Seminary.
