Women's Ministries
This ministry encompasses a diverse cluster
of ministries, all based on the Word of God
and empowered by prayer.
Women's Ministries is open to women of all ages, backgrounds and affiliations, and strives to provide a warm environment and foster a sense of belonging. We exist to "declare the praises of God" (1Peter 2:9), to encourage women in their daily lives and to join the Lord in the spiritual battle for women's souls through a variety of opportunities.
The central focus is Bible Study, with the goal of drawing women into a closer walk with Jesus Christ. Discipleship and fellowship provide spiritual development in an atmosphere of acceptance and love. Exciting outreach activities create opportunities for evangelism. Deep bonds of friendships are formed as women study, pray and share.
Several groups composed of women of all ages and at all stages of life meet for in-depth Bible Study and fellowship. Childcare is provided free of charge.
- The morning groups meet at 9:00 a.m. during the school year.
- A Bible Study in Japanese is also offered in the morning.
- The evening groups meet at 7:00 p.m.
- Summer Evening Bible Studies are held during the months of June and July.
Conferences are scheduled throughout the year to build up, encourage and grow in our faith.
Retreats are held for the women of Patterson Park to come together to be refreshed, renewed and have a time to relax.
This ministry is for women who want to encourage and be encouraged. Ladies are encouraged to come and learn how to use life experiences to walk with God and assist another woman. It is an opportunity to be encouraged and supported in your Christian walk by another Christian woman. This is a wonderful ministry for the women of Patterson Park Church to experience the joys and blessings of mentoring and being mentored.
Patterson Park Church is an official outlet of Girlfriends Unlimited, a ministry approach that started with two girlfriends in Mesa, AZ, with one dream and one extraordinary God. Girlfriends Unlimited is about changing the hearts and lives of today's women in progressive, creative and intentional ways.
This outreach ministry includes:
- Girlfriends Clubs: Shared interest groups where girlfriends can connect, where friendships begin and grow. A place to giggle and have fun.
- Girlfriends Gigs: Large themed events where girlfriends can gather and play games, be pampered, be creative and have fun. A place to bring all of your girlfriends.
- Girlfriends Club Nights: A smaller more casual gathering when girlfriends can find out more about the Girlfriends Clubs and Gigs.
Our purpose:
To "declare the praises of God" (I Peter 2:9), to encourage women in their daily lives, and to join the Lord in the spiritual battle for women's souls through a variety of opportunities. How do we do this?
- By creating moments that inspire and motivate women to discover for the first time, or in a whole new way, a significant relationship with Jesus Christ.
- By being an explosive resource for women: challanging and changing their culture.
- By nurturing their hearts, minds, and the soul of friendships with intimate experiences and innovative ideas.
