It's Saturday morning. Where are all the men? Golfing? Fishing? Watching the tube? Mowing the lawn? Sleeping? Probably, one of the last places you’d find them is at a church…with other men.
At Patterson Park Church, we want to change the way you look at Saturday mornings…and we want to change the way you look at other men.
The words of David Murrow are so true. “Deep in his heart, every man wants to be a part of a team (A Network) that does something great. Just look at the movies men adore. A team comes together to save the world, steal the money, or win the championship. The Lord of the Rings, X-Men, The Matrix, Saving Private Ryan, Ocean’s Eleven, Remember the Titans…each story features a band of brothers who attempt the dangerous, the outrageous, and the impossible. Each member of the team has a specialty and makes a vital contribution. Though he may not realize it, every man longs to be a part of one.” (Why Men Hate Church, David Murrow).
One of the wisest people who ever lived said it this way, “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12 NLT)
The PPC Men’s Network is not a social club or a guild (people with common interests or goals); it’s about integrating men into church. It’s about camaraderie, affirmation, personal development and spiritual growth. It’s simply about men connecting with each other…all for the glory of God.
Join us on Saturday morning, March 3rd in the Family Life Center at 7am. We will have a short devotional led by someone on our leadership team and then we will introduce you to several men’s small group leaders. We will also be discussing several new small group options in the future. We will end our time together by joining our hearts in prayer for our church, our friends, and most of all…our families. Breakfast and coffee will also be available.
The Network will only last one hour so you should have plenty of time to get all those weekend chores done around the house.
Men…we’ll see you March 3rd at The Network!
