Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
The Vision: Believers at Patterson Park Church continuously grow and mature in their understanding and practice of effectual prayer. The prayer ministry strives to facilitate this on a personal, small group and corporate level with the desired result of the church becoming known as a house of prayer for all the nations. Isaiah 56:7
Prayer is ultimately about glorifying God and developing our love relationship with Him. It is a vital Christian discipline that should be incorporated into every area of the believer’s life to pray without ceasing, 1 Thess. 5:17 and into every part of church life. My house shall be called a house of prayer Matthew 21:13. Consequently the prayer ministry here is integrated into each aspect of the mission of the church:
To Glorify God by:
KNOWING Christ,
GROWING in Him &
GOING in Service to Him.

"In a typical day I am charged with the pastorate of three congregations. I teach regularly at the seminary. I have students living in my house. I am writing three books. Countless people write to me. When I start each day, therefore, I make it a point to spend an hour in prayer with God. But, if I have a particularly busy day and am more rushed than usual, I make it a point to spend two hours with God before I start the day." Martin Luther
