at PPC

 1. Starting Point

Starting Point is an introduction to Patterson Park Church. In this one session class you will learn more about what our church believes and how you can get involved.

Classes are held the first Sunday of March, June, September, and December

2. Membership

Are you interested in exploring membership at PPC? We offer quarterly class sessions to learn more about what that commitment looks like and to get to know one another better. This two-session class is required for all who would like to become members. Join us to find out more about PPC's history, governance, and beliefs. Classes are held Sundays at 9:00am in the Underground.

2026 Classes: January 4 & 11, April 12 & 19, July 5 & 11, October 4 & 11

3. Baptism

Baptism is an ordinance of Jesus Christ that Christians should observe (Matt. 28:19). We believe that baptism by immersion (going under the water and coming up again)
is the best picture of our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Believers who have placed their faith in Christ may be baptized.
Incoming members must be baptized.

Baptism classes for youth and adults are held the Sundays in January, April, July and October at 9am in the Conference Room.
Ensure you have adequate time to provide your written testimony when registering for the class.

Classes for children (5th grade and under) are held on the first and second Sundays of March and October at 9am in room 223.
Pastor Boo will lead these classes then meet with the parents to determine if your child is ready to be baptized.

4. Family Gathering

Our Family Gathering is a time of fellowship over a meal to hear ministry reports and introduce our new members. During this time, you will formally join the church as a member.

Our Family Gatherings take place the first Sunday of February, May, August, and November
