Provide vision, leadership, and pastoral oversight for PPC’s local and global missions efforts, and adult discipleship pathway of Patterson Park fulfilling its mission to “Glorify God by Knowing Christ, Growing in Christ and Going in Service to Christ and others.
Missions
Lead and direct the work of missions at PPC by cultivating a church-wide commitment to the Great Commission through prayer, giving, sending, and going. Facilitate mission and volunteer events, missionary care, mission partner communication, and training opportunities that educate the congregation and equip members to serve locally, nationally, and globally. Develop personal relationships with missionaries and mission organizations that partner with PPC, evaluate requests for support, and strengthen the bond between the congregation and mission partners through clear communication and intentional mobilization.
- Work with the Elders to align missions strategy, partnerships, budget priorities, and congregational mobilization with PPC’s mission and ministry priorities.
- Provide pastoral oversight for the PPC Mission Committee ensuring execution of the Committee mission and vision.
Discipleship Ministries
Develop, maintain, and champion a clear discipleship pathway that helps adults take intentional next steps in knowing Christ, growing in Christ, and going in service to Christ and others. From front door, to membership, ensure, implement systems and clarity so those coming to PPC can grow as disciples of Jesus.
